Why I set up Grace Care

"When people have to find care for themselves, or one of the family, most of us just don’t know where to start looking.

My own family faced this problem over thirty years ago. I well remember visiting twenty-five care homes and nursing homes in the UK to find somewhere my grandmother would be well cared for. I felt guilty that we could not care for her ourselves, and sad that she had to move from her own home.

There didn’t seem to be anyone to help. Not just to find a good home, but also to help us come to terms with our decision, and to help us make the right choice.

I realised there must be thousands of other families who were facing the same problem and was determined to help them find the answer so, in 1986, I set up Grace Care - a service dedicated to helping people unlock the answers to finding care.

Since then, Grace Care has advised thousands of families throughout the UK, helping them to choose the best type of care for their needs and wishes."
